She is a national speaker, a published author, and professional development instructor. Patricia is passionate about spreading information to raise awareness whether:
- speaking at community events about preventable medical harm to help raise the status of patients to partners in care
- training professionals in emotional intelligence, organizational agility, risk analysis
- coaching clients how to develop charters, work breakdown structures and value stream maps to gain performance-driven talent
Her book, The Perils of Un-Coordinated Healthcare: A Strategic Approach Toward Eliminating Preventable Harm, published by Routledge of Taylor & Francis in 2017, shares her story (from a personal and professional perspective) of her mother’s preventable harm leading to death. The book includes her proprietary Process Improvement Strategy Deployment 10-step model integrating Lean and project management methodologies.
Patricia is a Project Management Professional (PMP), a Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) and certified in Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, and Evidence-Based Design (EDAC). She is a member of Project Management Institute (PMI), Center for Health Design, and National Association of Healthcare Advocacy (NAHAC).
